are YOU ready for a new year?

i am finding it very hard to believe that a new year is just hours away! it seems that time is picking up speed and every year goes faster & faster! to celebrate the arrival of a new year in "an artsy way"... i made a card with heidi swapp's "mixed company" line. 

i LOVE the unexpected color scheme & all the embellishments are just delish! i may even end up attaching this card to one of the memory files from the collection & have an instant mini album to document favorite moments of 2014!

i couldn't help but add a sequins "shaker" to the card... after all, it is representing a new year... & there is always a party on new year's eve with confetti & sparkle! hence, the sequins! i cut two circles of clear acetate, ran it though my sewing machine half-way, filled with the sequins, stitched closed and then adhered it to the back of a "color magic frame"! 

so easy & feastive!
